Not sure exactly what you're asking but I can tell you I certainly could walk better and longer after getting my PM! 😀

I can't advise either I'm afraid! It would depend on how bad your condition is, how long you have to wait, etc. In general terms though we should all get as much exercise as we can. My situation was different, I was fine then my ability to walk without breathlessness went rapidly downhill, I went to A&E, was admitted and got the PM within a couple of days. The whole thing was under two weeks from start to finish. But I have no problem with breathlessness at all now! Hope it works out as well for you.

I would imagine if you get out of breath while walking then you should do less, not more. It's a symptom...

Listen to your body, only walk as much as you feel comfortable doing and that doesn't cause you breathlessness or pain. You can do shorter , slower walks on even and level surfaces rather than long ones to maintain your muscles and general health without causing exertion to the heart.

It's especially important to use leisurely activity rather than over exerting yourself until your pace maker is fitted.

You can , for example , just do a few minutes strolling or gentle movement activity each hour. Or do a couple of 5-10 minutes walks a day.

If you find any walking is too hard , you can try gentle stretching and movement in a chair or on the bed.

It's good to maintain your flexibility and mobility while you wait for a procedure but you need to follow the recommendations of your cardiologist and take things easy.

Some people need to be less active than others , it all depends on your individual medical needs so do consult your cardio nurse or doctor just to be sure.
