My husband often has raised potassium levels caused by candesartan and then spirolactone, it's very common for ACE/ARB meds to increase potassium levels. Can I ask what your level is?

5.4 was my latest result but all other kidney function tests were normal.

I have to get a retest in 1 month to check anomaly

5.4 is just out of range. When you have your bloods taken do you make your hand into a fist so that your veins are more prominent?

My potassium levels have been constant. Just before I started on Ramipril in January 2023 it was 4.4. By May it was 4.1, now it's 4.3. (Recommended range is 3.5 to 5.3)

It drooped mine to the extent my blood sugar showed I was diabetic. It did nothing for my blood pressure. Blood sugar dropped as soon as I stopped taking it, but the GP is still insisting I am diabetic! I am way below the diabetic levels! Nothing to do with being paid a suppliment for diabetics on their books, I am sure!
