Feeling poorly...

I was scheduled for a functional angiogram tomorrow, so stopped all meds for 48 hours before. I've only been on them for 3 months, but can't believe how poorly I'm feeling after stopping. To make matters worse, my procedure was cancelled as the 'machine' is broken. Not sure how long the wait will be for a new appointment.

That must be so disappointing 😞 I can't be late taking any of my medication, in particular my calcium channel blockers or I start getting more chest pain.

It may help to rest for a few days, give sometime for your medication to start working and try and stabilise your symptoms.

I hope you feel better soon.

Hello Milkfairy, yes, I'd built myself up for the test so very disappointed, will probably be at least 6 weeks before I get another appointment.

I think I'll definitely need a few days rest to get back to where I was. Just couldn't believe how quickly I deteriorated after stopping.

Thank you for your reply, hope you're keeping well.

Hello :-)

It took them several attempts to get me to have an angiogram it was all booked in and I was a wreck even though at this stage I had not stopped any meds they had asked me to but I got a call to say the machine had broke so to stay on my meds so it does happen and I know how you must be feeling regarding that side of things

It took a few weeks for them to get it fixed and then another few weeks before I got another appointment hopefully you won't have to wait to long

A very good idea to be kind to yourself and rest for a few days while your meds get back in your system and let us know how you get on :-) x

Thank you, I wonder how often these things break down. Well not much I can do, just rest up as you say. I think I was quite shocked just how quickly I went downhill.

I’ll repost when I’m back on track. Hope you’re keeping well.

Sorry my hand trembled and pressed reply.

You will feel poorly you are going through withdrawal and it's brutal been through it quite a few times when taken off tablets. Your body gets used to your tablets within a week of taking them and to suddenly stop your body rebels and all the things the tablets where helping you with come back with a vengeance.

Hope now it's been cancelled you are back on your meds . But it will take a few days until your feel better. Rest and make sure you have plenty of drinks and healthy food . Gentle exercise will help .

Hello, yes straight back on them, can't wait to feel well again, it's definitely taking time.

At least I know what to expect when I stop the next time.

Thank you for replying, hope you're keeping well.

Hello :-)

I am not sure how often they do but I know they had to order a part in for ours which I think took longer to come than them actually fixing it they may get yours up and going sooner though

It can be a shock how quick you can go down but hopefully a couple of days rest and those meds back in you and you will feel better :-) x
