hi all just wanted to share. My husband has been diagnosed with heart failure. He has been having fainting spells while gasping for breath. It mostly happens at night. Wondered if anyone else is experiencing this? Tonight we went to bed at 12.30, it’s now 2.30 and up to now he has had 3 episodes. Every time his head hits the pillow he can’t breathe. We’ve tried all the pillows propping him up. All he can do is sit in a chair with his head on the desk. We are exhausted.

Hi Izzy
I think it would probably be a good idea to phone nhs111 when these episodes happen. But definitely let your husband's HF nurse know this is happening, it may be a simple case of tweaking his meds.
Good luck
hi, I’ve had the same experience.
Go to A&E!
Medication is first thing.
12 months on I have had alot medication,a cardio version and last week a defibrillator and pacemaker fitted.
You have had first two posts above which suggest you need to seek professional help. I will add mine. Don't delay. Hope your husband gets sorted soonest.
