In my last post I was struggling with my echo results showing a ejection fraction of 23% and an 18 week wait to see a cardiologist.

After three weeks of arguments my private medical insurance agreed to cover me to see a private cardiologist. It took a Doctor in my medical practice to fill in a form saying they had got it wrong, this was not a preexisting condition even though I had sent them proof of this already.

This did not help my stress levels.

I saw a cardiologist who sent me to London for a cardiac MRI scan. I was very worried as I do not like confined spaces (or London!). I was also prescribed Bisoprodol. The blood tests also revealed my cholesterol levels had shot up from 2.7 ( 4months ago) ) 7. Now on statins.

The MRI was so easy . The staff at the clinic were very reassuring, the trains ran on time and I even mastered the Uber app.

The results show an ejection fraction of 47% . He explains that an MRI will show a better result . I also have not evidence of heart disease which I do have in my family and I have a mild ischaemic cardiomyopathy in association with my left bundle heart block.

What a roller coaster. I see the cardiologist in two weeks time when maybe he can explain why things have changed so much!
