I have a kardia to do my ECG

And a finger tester to do my pulse.

But I am have trouble getting treatment.

I am Under a cardiologist doctor

But taking a long time to get seen.

Hi Domino007,

So I'm the same had two reports on my EKG Kardia machine show premature ventricular contractions. Still waiting on a cardiologist referral through my GP.

I'm taking propranolol advised by my GP - At first I was only taking them "when required" to help with my heart palpitations and feeling extremely anxious at the time. but I told the doctor I didn't think they was working so the GP told me to up the dose so I now take 10mg, taken 4 times a day instead of just the when required.

I have had serval side affects with propranolol to which each person i know is different so it wont be for everyone, I just monitored them for serval days, they disappeared after a week though I occasionally do get a headache not so often, also my sleep was slightly disturbed for a bit other than that I do feel alot claimer with the propranolol and was told never to stop takimg the dose and always speak with your GP before going cold turkey, upping your dose if you have serve side affects always speak to your GP.

Since having the 40mg and changing certain life style choices in the past month iv noticed only in the last week my ECG has shown up PVCs. I only ever had the high heart rate with Afib at first but now iv been getting flutters.

Have you changed your lifestyle in anyway?

iv stopped alcohol, caffeine, eating more fruit and veg and trying to lose some weight for the past month being more active iv noticed the flutters come on randomly, unpredictable.

Most places you read about PVCs there not sinister unless you get them frequent enough through out the day. With you mentioning you get them for 20 minuets each day I'm not sure how they would measure this. Sorry I can't help with this I would speak with your GP or with you saying your under a cardiologist maybe seek advice from them? Best of luck with everything I hope you can find something that helps you.

Thanks for the reply.I have a finger oxygen / pulse and shows my pulse goes down to the low 30s but the kardia ECG shows 70s.

When I feel it comes on.

I have changed my diet.but I never have much fatty foods and only drink caffeine free that does make a difference.

You need to pester the cardiac doctor to see him.get a cancellation.

Do you have swollen ankles.

And always out of breath.

How strange, I find my withings smart watch shows my heart rate different sometimes to the Kardia EKG. I never know which one to go off. I notice when I think about it it comes on more but also after iv done swimming I notice the flutters. Do you notice if your doing anything that brings on the PVCs?

Yeah I probably need to chase the referral. I'm still waiting on the ECG monitor from my GP to monitor my heart and rhythm for longer.

I done have swollen ankles but occasionally I'll feel strange like I can't take a full breath but I think again when I think about it more it becomes an issue If that makes sense.

When you said your under a cardiologist have you been for tests to show your PVCs?
