Hi, I have been on bisoprolol until 3 weeks ago when I had to go into hospital with a so called asthma attack with blood sats very low. In for 12 days and doctor took me off bisoprolol and put me on digoxin, saying bisoprolol could have contributed to asthma. I have never suffered with asthma.
I am now home with blood sats at 97%, but heart seems to be less controlled on digoxin. Any comments would be appreciated.

after an eoissode of Takotsubo I was prescribed Bisoprolol, it made me feel short of breath, which cleared up when i stopped taking it - a couple of years later i was diagnosed with asthma, after noticing shortness of breath again, then i found out that bisoprolol is best avoided by people wit breathing problems - so i wonder if my earlier problems while on Bisoprolol should have alerted someone or served as an early warning of my asthma
incidentally the asthma nurse told me that they are seeing more late-onset asthma as a result of poor air quality
