Check the patient information sheet which came with your medication.

you bet ! I was on 3.75mg Bisoprolol post quadruple bypass following Nstemi heart attack in July . It made me spaced out & dizzy. Had it reduced to 2.5mg and it’s a lot better . No more periods of the day when I feel totally out of it. I get the occasional dizzy spell when standing up , not as regular as previously. Mention it to your medical team .

Hi. Yes it can as it lowers your blood pressure. Talk to your doctor as they can lower the daily dosage. I was able to taper mine off to nothing given all the other meds I take as well!

there is no medication called Bisporal so i'm guessing you mean Bisoprolol - check the info issue by NHS is ou don't have the drug information leaflet with the medication:nhs.uk/medicines/bisoprolol/

Absolutely - as others have mentioned the dosage is key here - I was on 5mg and had what I'd call a woozy/faint feeling on occasion. Tracked my Heart Rate for a while and found it was settling sub 40 early evening - reviewed my findings with the practice pharmacist and we changed the dosage to 2.5mg which has been great for me. No change to upper end of heart rate but resting now sits low 40's when inactive/seated/relaxing. Good luck.

I am coming to the conclusion that Bisoprolol is more Patient specific rather than Dose specific. I manage fine on 7.5mg without side effects OK Blood Pressure is down and Heart Rate is also down , But and here it comes that is what it is supposed to do !

My Cardiologist reduced mine from 10mg to 7.5 due to HR falling to 33 bpm whilst I was asleep, but I didn't really notice anything during the day, it was noted on a Holter Monitor !

If you are so inclined you can find any of the side effects printed on the information leaflet it's called Human Nature especially if you already have a known health condition. I was told something like 20% of Trainee Doctors have every symptom for every illness they are studying in the first couple of years in Medical School. I am not saying it all imaginary but I believe a lot of it is.

Regards

Yes, I was constantly lightheaded and dizzy on the lowest possible dose. I had to switch to something else.
