Hi Pete-Benje

I hope you’re well today.

Mild atherosclerosis is the build up of fatty plaque/deposits in what seems like your LAD (left anterior descending) artery. It causes narrowing of the artery, making it difficult for blood to flow through. As it’s mild, they may treat it with medication to prevent further build up and limit the possibility of a heart attack or stroke.

The NHS have the below information.

There are other forum members with moderate to severe atherosclerosis so I hope they will be by to share their experiences.

All the best.
