I am a 61 yr old male who suffers from hypertension, sleep apnoea and recently diagnosed with Diabetes.
In various periods of my life I have suffered from extreme palpitations - usually at times of stress such as moving house.
I have had a lot of stress in the last two years - bereavement, illness, and moving house again, but I am annoyed as I have always managed to keep on top of things.
However, I have recently been blighted with constant palpitations from which I can get no rest. They wake me up and I feel tortured throughout the day. Once they start I can get no relief. I believe they are PAC's as they follow a "skip then thud" course and lately they have even become painful. I do not get breathless with them, but lately have been alarmed as they come on during/after moderate exercise. Before, any sort of exercise would clear them.
They are sending me out of my mind but I don't know if the anxiety is a result of these awful things or is partly the cause of them? I have tried all the usual baloney - mindfulness/ talking therapies/ magnesium supplements etc - nothing has worked and this time they have hit like a piledriver.
I am wondering if anyone else can relate to any of this and can provide any input?
Many Thanks, Jon.
