Mild Aortic Stenosis

Hi, I was recently told I have mild aortic stenosis and await an MRI to assess the aortic valve, possibly bicuspid. I currently take no medication, and experience facial and left ear numbness. I also suffer blurred vision from time to time. Looking for any advise on techniques or lifestyle changes to improve day to day life.

Thank you

Hi Grga

I had a bicuspid aortic valve but was unaware until last August when I started having symptoms which led to Cardiac investigations and eventually surgery this April. I would say not to put your life on hold. If your stenosis is mild then hopefully surgery is some time away.

Just look after yourself and lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible. Moderate exercise, healthy diet, stop smoking if you smoke.

We have a Facebook group.. UK Aortic and Heart Defects Pre and Post surgery. 99% of us have had or are surgery at some time in the future and the remainder are family or friends looking for advice.
