Dizzy spells

Hello everyone and good morning, 12 weeks ago at the age of almost 51 I was admitted to hospital with chest pains and came out 5 days later with 2 stents. Things haven't been too bad since but this last week I've been getting dizzy spells quite often. Is this something to worry (more!) about ?

Hello :-)

I wondered have you got a blood pressure machine at home and checking it because if it was to low or even to high that could give you dizzy spells your medication you possibly are on could as well

I would check with your Doctor or Consultant any new symptoms are best checked out

Let is know how you get on :-) x

Thanks BeKind28, I was going to do a separate question asking what kind of gadgets people have as I realise I have no way of checking blood pressure, oxygen, heartbeat etc myself. Do you have any recommendations ? I will call the doctor next week.

Hello :-)

I am not sure if you are in the UK but my blood pressure machine is just basic but does the job which is all I need in fact when I have had my Doctor visit she has the same one

I will put a link on so you can take a look and one that also for putting on your finger to measure oxygen that again my Doctor always has to :-) x

I'm in France but that's a great start to know what kind of thing I need. Thanks very much.

Dear Nogoodboyo

{ I am judging by the name that you are an Expat and not French ! } welcome to your first post.

It is so hard to give you an answer to your question as I am not medically trained, but I do suffer from dizziness which a lot of it was put down to the medication that I take.

After a chat to my Dr/Cardiologist it was recommend that I moved some of the morning tablets to the night slot.

This dramatically reduced the spells of dizziness

Hope this in anyway helps,

PLEASE ITS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DON'T DO THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD THE OK TO DO SO FROM YOUR DR

Take care and hope you haven't got this bloody rain.

Hi Blue1958 and thanks for your reply. I'm on Ramipril, Bisoprorol, Brilique, Atorvastatine, Esomeprazole, and Aspirin....phew! That's the first time I've written them down and I'm quite shocked...Anyway, I haven't had any problems with side effects so far but I guess they could start anytime. I'll call the doctor next week. Beautiful blue skies here I'm afraid...I'm really missing the rain in Wales..!😉

Enjoy the blue skies,

Yes you are right that side effects can appear at anytime, { took months before it happened to me} and a lot of the drugs you are on can cause dizziness.

At the end of the day you know your body and if something is amiss please don't delay in getting it checked out.

I'm sure the rain in Wales is missing you as well !

Take care
