Morning all!Hope everyone's as well as they can be πŸ™‚

I haven't been on here or posted in a while I'm just wondering if anyone can share any tips - I gave birth just shy of a month ago - I'm currently waiting to be put back on meds for 1st degree AV Block - grade 2 mid systolic murmur and a dilated left atrium - due to lack of sleep with baby my symptoms are heightened, im just wondering if anyones got any tips to try minimilise symptoms πŸ™ˆ - I can't see my cardiologist until this Monday and I'm genuinely starting to feel unwell through it.

TIA

X

First, congratulations! Next I suggest you talk to the BHF Heart Helpline nurse who should be able to help.

The number is 0300 330 3311. Available from 0900 to 1700 weekdays.

Hello :-)

Congratulations !

Any new Mum with the lack of sleep can feel run down but with your heart issues I can only imagine how you feel

It sounds like the only person that can make this any better is your Consultant by agreeing to get you back on your meds and we are on Thursday so just a few days and hopefully that will happen

Meantime I would try and talk with your Doctor , midwife tell them how you are feeling they could be able to help your Doctor just might be able to start you back on your medications worth asking

Also while you are waiting get all the support you can so you can get some rest the weekend is coming so make use of your partner taking over the feeds

Know as well your hormones will be all over the place which again will add to how you feel

Let us know how you get on and before you know it you will not feel as bad as you do at the moment and instead enjoying been a new Mum :-)

You dd not say but is it a boy or girl you had ? :-) x

Thank you for the reply, that is true! I also have a 5 year old and a 3 year old too so I'm literally running on empty at the minute πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ rest is not an option I don't really have much support so I'm trying to play super mum and juggle everything all at once as we do πŸ˜…πŸ™ˆ I've had my 2nd girl - been advised for no more pregnancies so trying to enjoy her as much as I can it's just hard I feel like my symptoms are taking over my days 😩 x

Hello :-)

You certainly have your hands full

As soon as they sort your medication out I am sure it will get easier and make some calls if you cannot wait till next week but it won't be long now :-) x
