After recent cardiac risk assessment for mum aged 75, GP has increased her cholesterol tablets artosratin from 10mcg to 20mcg as she has been on on 10 for some time, he said this will reduce her risk. before i get that validated and conflicting views - i thought i would ask if any of you have any experience in this?

Most people are on a 20mg dose to start with, her levels must be high so the gp is trying to reduce them. Most people on here are on far higher, I’m currently on 80mg a day following HT and 4 x CABG.

Just like Jako, after a 4xCABG I am on the same drug and same 80mg dose. 10 mg seems very low and so is 20mg so they can't have too many concerns about your mum..
