hi. Does anyone else take bisoprosol with bicuspid aortic valve and slight aortic dilation? I’ve got this rattle on my chest when I lay down and cough. Is this something others have had.

Hello
You need to let your Doctor have a listen to your chest and make sure everything is ok or if any of your medications need adjusting
Let us know how you get on x
Can bisoprolol cause this?
Hello
I am not sure on that this is why it would be best you see your Doctor they will be able to tell you and reassure you to x
I have BAV with AS and aortic dilation and have taken bisoprolol for years without getting a rattly chest from it. Check it out with your doctor.
Hi, I was taking Bisoprolol for Afib and developed exactly your symptoms, rattle cough and difficulty breathing especially when lying down.My GP listened to my chest and explained that Bisoprolol can cause a characteristic congestion in the small vessels deep in the lungs of some people in which case you would be offered an alternative drug.
My problem turned out to be an allergy as it was mainly upper respiratory track that was affected.
I would say get checked out by your GP explaining your concerns and hopefully you will soon have it sorted.
Wishing you well.
Hi. I was taken off Bisoprolol because of the breathlessness and Ramipril because of the cough. Best check with your GP.
GP just called and said it won’t be the Bisoprolol it will be the BP tablets instead. They are going down route of it being a chest infection first so have antibiotics. I said I only really get cough laying down and crackle he said if it was bisoprolol it would happen not just laid down but all the time.
Ramipril can cause this, if you are in it. I had it initially the got over it. Did you read the leaflets in the boxes?
I’m on bisoprolol. Will check the leaflet. I guess I should have already done that but 🤷
Can’t see anything about rattle and cough.
