AV ablation - what to expect now?

My husband had an AV ablation 1 month ago. He is feeling better than before. walks almost 2 km ( a little over 1 mile) several times a week.

He wants to visit our homeland, which is about 10 hrs flight and I am a little concerned. Wondering if anyone had this procedure and how are they doing now, traveling, walking, exercising ?

Best thing is to ask his cardio or EP.

I will but it is good to get some feedback from real patients, doctors sometimes will tell you anything that you want to hear

Everyone is different. The thing to bear in mind is health insurance for the trip and if he is covered for everything at present and what care could he receive if there were any problems, and how much it would cost. I would still ask the doc who did his procedure for their opinion as they know his history, how well it went and how they would expect things to go in the next few weeks. I am sure if they thought there could be a problem they would say to wait a while longer. Progress seems good so far and hubby might well be able to cope really well with the travelling by the sound of things. Has he already had a check up after the procedure?

He had one appointment during which the heart rate was adjusted to 70, he is doing ok with that. thank you for the suggestions. travelling outside of the country will be more complicated, will look into insurance coverage
