Long QT - worried!

Hi there! I’ve recently been diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome and am feeling overwhelmed while waiting for further testing. I constantly have tightness and pressure in my chest (anxiety?), can’t sleep and worry about the fact my 3 daughters may also have the condition. Just reaching out to any LQTSers for insight into coping with my new diagnosis.

My scuba dive buddy, who is in her sixties, has also recently been diagnosed with long QT. Tests have shown that some of her family have it. None of them have symptoms and it only showed up because of another matter. It has made it very difficult for us to pass dive medicals but we have jumped the many hoops and seen several specialist and had multiple tests. Final conclusion is that she’s had it all her life and if it was going to be a problem something would have happened by now. It does seem that this condition isn’t all that uncommon, that a lot of people are being diagnosed because of modern technology and for most it’s not a problem.
