I have discovered that when they start, if I stretch my arms up for about 10 seconds above my head (as you do when waking up in the morning, a good yawn and stretch), they quickly subside to normal rythm, If they return I do the same again. You can watch on a pulseoximeter - it goes from 39 - 70 really quickly. This may not be the same for everybody but it's worth a try. Has anybody else found this?

PVCs a way to stop them, I find.
Will try as always worth trying new things. Do they return for you, soon after though?
On a couple of occasions they came back a few seconds later but then I did the same thing (stretched) and they stayed away for quite a few hours.
I find with palpitations that if I get my husband to stick a thumb hard into the area right next to my shoulder blade on my back and massage it,they stop straight away. I'm guessing that's where the vagus nerve runs.
Good idea! Yes I think it is the vagus nerve with me too as they start after I have eaten - digestive thing. I don't know if it indicates any issue with the heart itself or how dangerous it is or can be but I figured if I can stop them or reduce their length then that's got to be good for the heart, at least less harmful? Maybe a cardiologist can tell me.
