Jawache can occur with heart problems. But it could be a problem with the jaw itself or teeth....perhaps teeth clenching. You really need a diagnosis from a GP. Ideally he would need to talk to your wife.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't given that a thought. My Wife has been to her GP he is unsure, but given her history he thinks it is heart related. We have now received an appointment for a scan at Papworth. The clues are that the pain is at night only, sitting up & GTN spray releives it. We may know more at the end of March ! Sorry, didn't give full history, not enough space ! She had two stents fitted in 2015.

Dear Pringleboy

A big welcome to you from the forum, I hope that you find this site as helpful as I do and that it helps answer a few of your questions.

I must tell you first that I am not medically trained so could not answer your first question other than to say that jaw aches are common with heart problems as they are with dental ones.

What does come through with your post is your devotion and love that you have for your wife.

Take care

Hi Blue 1958. Thank you for your kind remarks. My Wife has had quite a few health issues during her life, has always battled on, (there is always someone worse off than you). Diabetics as a general rule do not get chest pain but usually jaw ache. ECG & and blood tests have drawn a blank, "nothing wrong with your heart !). So we wait until the end of March ?I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.

Take care and best wishes.
