Does anyone have experience of recurrent pericarditis? I have now had 3 bouts of pericarditis in 5 months ☹️. Will it get better and does anyone know how long a new bout of pericarditis will last? I would be grateful for any advice around this.

Hello Owl43. I have had several bouts of recurrent pericarditis. The only time it stopped flaring for me was when I was on steroids (prednisolone) for several months for another medical condition. Since I tapered off the steroids the pericarditis has come back. I have no idea if it will go away again. Colchicine not working and now on ibuprofen. Waiting for a cardiology appointment. Let me know how you get on!
