Hi Spudrich. What’s your normal resting heart rate during the day?My heart rate at night drops to about mid 40s when I’m asleep which the dr assures me is normal as its low 50s resting during the day. I was concerned it was bradycardia like you hence checking. Talk to your dr or a BHF nurse to put your mind at ease. Take care. Chris

Nighttime rates are often low, mine is 42. I wouldn't rely on a watch either. If you are concerned take your resting rate manually during the day using your pulse and a stop watch.

A very similar question was put to an expert on my local radio station yesterday, he assured the caller that its not a problem and should expect a lower heart rate while asleep at night.

Dear Spudrich

An Apple Watch is the last thing you need suffering with the anxiety that you do.

As road2ruin said in there post, check you pulse manually using the stop watch function to your Apple Watch, there are plenty of YouTube vids to show you how to do it.

Your anxiety needs to be addressed as it is one of the most crippling things that a human can experience, it not only affects the mind but has been proved to affect the body as well.

I wish you well Spudrich and will be thinking of you
