Jaw numbness

Has anyone ever suffered from a numbing sensation in there jaw and end of your tongue? I am in heart failure and take several meds, been on these for sometime now.

Been to doctors, says not a stroke, told if things get worse to go to A-E, I am confused to what it could be, doctor says not heart related?

Not wishing this on anybody but is there anybody who may have had similar issues.

Regards Stephen

Dear sherwood123

Surly this cannot be right? I presume that your Dr has performed all the tests needed and still came up blank ?

Again and as you know that we are not medically trained but did he mention going to the dentist? As there are many neves in their area that can cause numbness even to the nose.

If you are not satisfied with your Drs diagnosis { don’t think I would be } then maybe contact your heart team/ 111 etc

I really hope that you get sorted out soon, please let us know.

Take care

I started with a little breathless, feeling unwell, Doctor says there’s a little fluid on my lungs , sent me for x-ray , he’s going to phone me Monday am. He put me on furosemide a water tablet. My wife is a nurse, we want some answers tomorrow or it’s up to a-e.

Yup totally agree with both you and your wife, as she must have already told you, there is always a reason for extra fluid being retained { not all sinister} and it needs to be sorted.

Hope the call has some answers for you both, please keep us informed

Take care

Ask your dentist if you can find one.

I agree with Blue1958 & Mentdent. I was told I had gum disease. Sometimes, my medicines can dry out my mouth and cause tingling and/or jaw pain. Since no stroke possible one of your medicines or dental problem. Hope it's something simple as the medicines. Have a Blessed Day.
