SLG T2
Hello
Sorry I can't help maybe someone with diabetes will be along soon and they may be able to help you.
Regards
Hi Prada47....I've been prescribed it for Heart Failure...apparently it was used for treating Diabetes and now has been hailed a new drug for Heart Failure...thank you for replying 😊
Hi SLK. I tipped over into type 2 diabetes in the spring, and because my GP hadn't done anything about it, my cardiologist told my GP to put me on Dapagliflozin. Unfortunately, within 2 or 3 days of starting them I got the most appalling back pain (a recognised side effect), and had to stop taking them after 14 days. My GP was talking about trying one of the others (Canagliflozin, I think), but because I'm trying changing other drugs at the same time, I haven't got round to any other T2D medication yet.
Hi Alison...thank you for your reply. I have read the common side effects and I'm getting a little concerned. I'm waiting my first prescription will let the group know how I get on...fingers crossed..take care 😊
I know there are a number of people on here that have had no side effects on Dapa... they just haven't seen your post
Hi, my husband has been on dapagliflozin for worsening HF symptoms for just under a month now. He's usually quite reactivate to meds but he's had absolutely no side effects at all at & its really done wonders for his energy levels & symptoms. He recently said he hadn't realised just how slow he'd got until he felt better, if that makes sense. I hope it works for you 🤞
Hi Lezzers...thank you for your reply....was diagnosed with HF earlier in this year, have responded well to the medications I'm on at the moment but Cardiac Consultant seems to think I might benefit from Dapa..🤞..😊
Have you heard of the pumping marvellous foundation charity for heart failure? There's lots of info on their website about HF, meds, current research etc. They also have a closed Facebook group that is great for support & advice from lots of really lovely people, a number of them are also taking this med so they may be able to help you as well.
