Hello all I was diagnosed with an aortic root anuerysm 4.26 cm as well as mild lvsd, after a scan with dye injected I have been told I don't have LVSD despite still having low O2 sats and that anuerysm isn't an aneurysm but a dilatation and it becomes an aneurysm when it has grown by 1 mm. I will have a repeat scan in a year.
I am an individual with Autism and because of my literal point of view I am struggling to make sense of this.
Can someone please give me some advice please.

I am also in exactly the same situation mine is a route size of 4.8cm and still called dilation. The most important thing you can do is not to worry, but to make sure you make changes to help look after your health, diet, fitness alcohol and smoking are all things you could consider (where applicable) to help improve your health. I’m not saying you are necessarily unhealthy but educate yourself of healthy living and I’m sure you can find some changes to make. If what I am told is correct you may maintain your health and never need any intervention.
If you don’t already, then start to monitor your blood pressure at home and get help if it’s not ideal.
After finding out I had this I’ve made changes to my lifestyle and feel better for it and have better overall health results when checked over so I can only encourage you to do the same.
I had my aortic root and valve replaced 14 months ago. First thing I would say is that worrying is not the best course of action .... neither is researching your condition on the internet.
Start taking control of your situation. Change your diet, get more mobile and try and improve your health - all these things will make recovery easier when you do have the op.
