Hi Kerkyra. I too have unstable angina, and also have 3 stents in my heart.. I am prescribed Ranolazine and Amlodipine, but not sure what Nicorandil is. I am allergic to Ranolazine and am waiting for my cardiologist to change this. Not sure about you, but I am still coming to terms with the uncertainty of attacks with unstable angina.

Hi Gymster! Nicorandil is an anti angina medicine that relaxes the heart muscles and dilates the arteries .Best Regards

Hi Kerkyra, I have unstable angina, and over the past 20 years have had 12 stents fitted over that time, last one in Dec 2020. Currently take Nicorandil 10mg twice a day, Amlodipine 5mg twice a day, Atenelol 100mg morning and 50mg evening + 10mg Trinitine Patch over 24hrs. Also have the Trinitine Spray as required. All's well at the moment but if I have an attack that two uses of the spray do not calm I am told to go to A and E. I should say I live in France and have been under their health system since 2004.
