Good morning everyone,

It's bright and sunny here after yesterday's sun, rain, wind, hail. (which actually lay for a short period), thunder and lightning.

The world of cardiology is full of abbreviations and acronyms which can be confusing particularly to newcomers who often are in a state of shock and not taking everything in. There is a list of abbreviations here:

I will readily admit it really needs updating into a single list, and hopefully this will be done as we come out of the pandemic and the BHF's income and staffing levels improve.

As a reminder the recommended practice is to give the full expanded version the first time it occurs in a thread, e.g. CSPH (Clinically Significant Pulmonary Hypertension).

Hello Michael. I'm 'SO' glad this has been posted so I have saved it. I'm not a 'Newcomer' so to speak and have been back and fo Hospitals, Doctor's, Clinics etc. for years and I still get confused lol.....!! 😊😊
