Heart stent
You are still early one month after procedure. Your body is still adapting and also you will be on heart meds now? Important to start being active as part of the rehab, start with walking short distances and building up gently. Also engage with your cardiac rehab team for input and advice. Hope that helps...
Had 5 stents in November and December. Experienced some discomfort for a while, but remember you've had something the size of a pen pushed through your arteries, so they are going to be stretched and sore for a while.
You are no doubt also feeling quite anxious - and shortness of breath/hyperventilation is a pretty common symptom of anxiety. Try some controlled deep breathing - in through the nose to the count of 4, out through the mouth for the count of 4 (or 6 is even better). Do this for a couple of minutes and you will start to feel a bit more relaxed. Don't worry if you start to feel more anxious as you do this - after a minute or so that will pass.
Give it a couple of months and the pains will mostly pass as well. You may get the odd twinge now and again, but you will find you notice them more than before your procedure as you are probably going to be hypersensitive to any chest sensations for a little while. Again, completely normal - a quick search on this site will show many, many people who have felt the same as you do.
Hope you recover quickly.
Are you on Ticagrelor? Often given post stent. This can cause breathlessness which usually goes away. It took about three months before it finally settled for me. And I recognised the difference between that and the breathlessness from angina.
Thank you so much, the reply give me a lot of relief
