Hi lovely people, a few weeks ago I did a 7 day holter with Sanjay Gupta. I am 11 months post AVR. He found that I am still having ectopic beats, but less than 300 in a week. The surprise was what I thought were ectopics are not. They are the jerks I get throughout my body, almost like an electric shock. They are Myoclonic jerks... at least that is what he thinks. Now we all get these little demons at some point just before sleep but I have loads and loads and it makes my nights difficult. I have had these since the op. Anyway I just wondered if anyone else gets these? I am more relaxed now knowing they aren't the ectopics of course. Thank you xx

"That is what he thinks" so it's not a definite diagnosis ! Would be interesting to see how another Cardiologist reads the results as they do have different opinions on these tests !
Wow yes. Just raised this on another site. They are like little electric shocks that jolt you and sometimes run down your arm. As an AFIB sufferer, I knew the were not ectopics but was confusing cardiologists with my description which was not dissimilar as to what you describe. A lot prior to sleeping but I get daytime as well.
Hi Ian, are you post heart op at all? Yes sometimes get them in the day. You are the first person I have found who has them. Regards Tessie
