Percutaneous Paravalvular (aortic valve) leak closure procedure

Has anyone had a percutaneous paravalvular leak closure procedure? How long was the recovery time? I'm having this done on 9 February and I can't find any advice online (avoiding anything Dr Google) other than academic papers or adverts to have it performed in an American hospital (I'm in England!!!)

Any advice gratefully received. :-)

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Whilst having no direct experience I do know that this can be done two ways; either by OHS (open heart surgery) or via a minimally invasive catheter procedure. Recovery from OHS would be similar to any OHS (typically three months before you can return to work) and from a catheter procedure considerably faster. Obviously your current state of health and any other medical conditions would affect this. Good luck!
