Yes in beta blocker withdrawal. Stopping them suddenly or reducing too fast causes beta blocker rebound. I have been withdrawing very slowly because when I went faster I couldn’t cope with all the tachycardias . Obviously double check with your doctor but if you search on beta blocker withdrawal on this site you will find problems are common and can take weeks to settle . Hope you are ok
The cardiologist is reviewing meds am going to call secretary tomorrow and leave message as this is ridiculous but when on beta blocker which I think I should be on something to help the heart work less or not so hard but when on them my heart rate to low it’s frightening and I live in state in constant anxiety
Doctors quite often tell patients they can just stop their beta blockers or stop them over a week or two but lots of patients end up with weeks of tachycardia which is really frightening. Let us know what cardiologist says
That’s the thing I’m no longer on any heart meds they took me off the beta blocker as was dropping my pulse to low so now get tachycardia all the time random sudden heart rate,
I would say I’m in ok shape am overweight but dieting and eating healthy I haven’t been doing a lot of exercise as cardiologist told me Not to put strain on my heart still walk the dog but it’s shorter then normal as the fear has taken over and suggestions?
Thank you for ur suggestions at this point I’m willing to try anything that will improve my heart health as well as my mental health like I said I’m in a constant state of fear never relax every twitch, pain or sensation I’m panicking worried is it my heart or my mind it’s hard to tell the difference when someone tells u that ur heart condition has risk of sudden cardiac arrest
