After many months on several beta blockers with terrible side effects a cardiologist has decided to stop than and try pill in the pocket for my afib. Does this work and is anyone doing this successfully? Thank you

"Pill In The Pocket" is an option for several conditions, but it really depends on two things.

Firstly, how decisive are you, in other words what's your ability to accurately recognise the on-set of symptoms and act upon them?

And secondly, how organised are you, in other words are you confident that you'll remember to always carry a dose of your medication?

If that sounds like you then by all means go for it, but if it doesn't sound like you then "pill in the pocket" may not work out so well in your case.

Good luck!
