I have recently had a cardio version to help with my irregular heart beat 2 months ago it was successfull and I am still in a sinus rythem I think. I get a few twinges every now and again when I’m resting not sure much when my mind is busy could this be muscle pain from the procedure? Or a bit of anxiety on my part from the procedure or has anyone gone through the same procedure that can help with what their recovery was like?

I am not sure what you mean with ‘a few twinges’. I had a cardioversion in early May, I believe I’m still in sinus rhythm. I have had no negative after effects at all. It took about 8 weeks before the full ‘benefits’ of the procedure had worked through. In my case it was much improved exercise tolerance and an end to fluid retention. I still weigh myself every morning, as sudden weight gain was the first symptom of the atrial flutter I had developed.

As you can see from my ‘handle’ I was born with a Tetralogy of Fallot, which was successfully repaired over 40 years ago at age 27. I’m now 69 and the atrial flutter was the first cardio event since my op.
