Had my long awaited consultation with my Professor of Cardiology today 4th Sept whom I have known for many years. Absolute confirmation of main spasms in 2 main CA arteries with only 48 pct stenosis. A few medicines dispensed of and can return to racquet games in 2 weeks....... hooray. An extra 15mins explaining all the various "angina's" and even the now known differentials in ths world of Artery Spasms . More ppl diagnosed now but most live comfortable lives but not all. He is off to give a lecture in Nagoya when Covid subsides. Fantastic consultation lasting 55 mins.

Final diagnosis of Coronary Spasms.
Ian. Sounds like a positive consultation. Glad you at least have clarity and hopefully a good treatment plan in place. May I ask, what we’re your symptoms and how is your treatment designed to deal with them? Thanks
Yes. Given my symptoms are infrequent and so transient - build up of emotion and 5 - 10 seconds pain, I am a little unusual. I cannot even reach for my GTN but its gone. Spasms captured in LAD on 2 Angiograms but cannot stent a whole artery for a small section of spasm. I will be closely monitored on yhe various medicines and am booked in for another MIBI in Feb along with other tests. VS for today where BP 138/79 HR 51 and normal ECG and of course in sinus rhythm. Tks my friend.
It is good to get a diagnosis.
Hopefully the medications will help and you can learn to live as well as you can with your vasospastic angina.
We all seem to have our own version of angina without obstructed coronary arteries.
Indeed Milkfairy. I even quoted some of your comments and views to Prof Wang. He was impressed that I knew such detail.....🤣🤣🤣but it was only because of you. I can go back and play pickerball after 11th.
