I have had 2 mi in last 18 months 9 months apart both emergency pci ‘s . Both in lad t told all other big arteries fine. After lots of tests I have since been diagnosed with mva and familiar colhestral thing .

Not back to what I did before mi but I am very lucky most days I can jog speed walk 3 /4 miles However last few months I have been really struggling with cough chest discomfort breathlessness and lethargy on odd days . One day I’m fine next day I’m poleaxed it’s so frustrating I’m convinced the weather is responsible heavy days or windy days the worse . Just wondered if any one else is affected by atmosphere .

I am another human barometer too.

My angina is always worse in the cold weather or after any sudden drop in air pressure, when it rains or is stormy.

I feel better in the warm sunshine🌞

There is even some research to suggest it is a real issue. More heart attacks occur in the winter in the UK

Thank you both I tried to tell my cardiologist he looked like I was mad ! Happy jo , humidity def is a problem but sunshine and heat are fine I also seem to be fine Ion cold sunny clear days it’s exercise that seems impossible on heavy days . Apart from giving up trying to do things on such days expect potter around between rests any ideas , our weather is so changeable I get my self in good routine for exercise / busy day routines etc then wham it all goes out of window . I asked gp if I. Ours take more isorb on such days he said just use gtn but that doesn’t do much .

Hi Themcgeevers, its Sunday 7th June and its not raining so I've been to put some washing outside. I've come inside and the cold windy weather has got me again, the pain is in my chest, back and left arm. Mine isn't usually helped by gtn spray, it takes ages for the pain to go off. Cold windy weather is the bane of my life. Good luck with everything and keep posting x Sheena
