Some good news

I had a low dose stress test last week and wanted to share the news with people that will understand. I wasn't looking forward to it but so glad I had it. BP when lying down was 93/55 and resting pulse 68. The Entresto has improved my EF from 15-20% to 40-45% in just over 2 months. Pump volume is 101ml and, most importantly I have contractual reserve. There is no reason why my aortic valve can't be saved and the aortic root surgery can proceed.

Oddly, I am really please and looking forward to it? Bizarre eh? I think that we all come to realise that surgery is part of the journey not the destination. I do realise I still have a long way to go and that the root replacement is still a big op, but I feel far more positive about it all now.

I was in a really dark place for a while. You get stuck thinking about "what if's" and "maybe" which doesn't help. People telling you it will be ok doesn't help neither do looks of sympathy.

Keep safe.
