Does anyone else suffer terrible thigh cramps using perindorpril.?

I need to control my blood pressure, because nobody wants a stroke, but every drug I try seems to have terrible leg cramps as a side effect. I mean excruciating nocturnal cramping in large muscles at front of thigh, sometimes in both legs at once, that last for ages and sometimes make me faint with pain . Doctor is clueless.
