Angina attacks

Can anyone tell me why my angina is worse when I am fighting a virus or bug, especially when I am working. I have had 5 stents fitted and 1 artery is still partially blocked but being managed with medication. I don’t have angina attack to the same extent on my days off.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Your angina is probably worse because your body is fighting infection. The fact it is worse at work suggests that either your work is too physical or too stressful. If this is ongoing it may be worth considering a change.

Thanks Michael. It is quite a physical job. I appreciate your feed back, makes perfect sense.

It may be a simplistic way of looking at things but when you body is being stressed in some way eg by fighting a virus or bug it's likely to show up in weaker parts of your system ie your heart.
