Update on my fathers cardiac arrest

Hi all.. just wanted to update you all on my father after his cardiac arrest 2 months ago, as it stands he is doing so well! He isn’t back to work yet and still gets tired quiet easily, however he’s home! He got home on the 11th of December (just in time for Christmas) which obviously made it the most special Christmas we’ve had! The delirium has completely subsided however he remembers them all as clear as day, some of the stories he tells are actually crazy and explained the behaviour at the hospital. there was no brain damage which is apparent so basically the best outcome we could of hoped for really..,

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here that helped me stay positive and get though it! And if anyone wants advise or is going though the same thing as my family and I was please don’t hesitate to ask me anything. I would love to help!

Thanks for the update, really pleased that his recovery has been so good. Your original post portrayed him in a very distressing place. It really is amazing how the human body is able to recover from such difficult situations.

So glad your dad is doing well and you all had a lovely Christmas. I had a cardiac arrest 5 years ago at the age of 42. Your message will help anybody else. Take care hun and hope your dad carries on well his road to recovery x
