Another letter from the hospital to my GP

Life & death by committee again!

The Professor (voice of Europe no less?!) says I can take 5mg of the bisoprolol dose in the morning & evening. There was some press recently about blood pressure reduction pills are more effective when taken in the evening.

Letter from the main consultant received today has a 3 point diagnosis with some very relevant internet search words. Most of which I knew but Tubular Necrosis is a new one on me!

At least the letter confirms the 10mg dose the Professor wants me on but it should help the GP who recently gave me 7.5mg tablets of the bisoprolol. I have suggested they do the 2.5 as the balance rather than me throwing the 7.5 away.

Also confirms the clopidogrel will be stopped at the end of 09/20. One less tablet to take!

Hi Ben

10mg Bisoprolol seems to be the target for some people, but not everyone. From what I understand it's what your Cardiologist believes is best for You, after all they are the people with all the information.

I was on 10mg but reduced to 7.5 mg as 10 dropped my pulse to low.

I take the 7.5mg Bisoprolol in the morning along with Aspirin, Pravastatin and Omeprazole oh and Breakfast which is normally a slice of toast and a poached egg or beans. I tend to take my pills with a cup of Coffee bet that's frowned upon by some lol

Around 10/11am

I take my Entresto 49/51mg and Eplerenone 25mg then finally at bedtime I take the 2nd Entresto..

I have found this routine is manageable and my Heart Rate is under control !!!

regards
