I had a stressful day yesterday and felt abit shaky in the evening and still today. Today I took my dog for a lovely walk , then saw my heart rate had shot up to 180 at one point, probably when my dog was chasing another dog or something silly although I wasn't stressed at all today. Can stress cause HR to shoot up for several days as I still feel jittery. It only stayed at that for maybe a couple of minutes then back to 120-130.

Wow that's very high and should be checked out.Have you ever had this happen before? I get very brief periods of palpitations but I'm talking about around one hour max at 95-100 bpm.I have propanolol to take for that.Do you have anything to take?
I think stress can do some weird things to the body. You can get caught in negative feedback loops. Maybe realising your heart had shot up to 180 made you more stressed? 120-130 does sound on the high side. I thought 100 was the max normal. I can remember one period of palpitations I had during the night a while back and my heart rate got stuck at 100 during the rest of the next day. It was uncomfortable for me and did make me feel anxious and jittery.
