Just had an ablation(9 days ago) for paroxysmal AF and have stopped bisoprolol (as instructed). I still get a lot of ectopics and short bursts of tachycardia and feel very tired. I think is probabaly to be expected but would be interested in others' experiences.

Hiya

I am waiting on the consultant to see me about having an oblation op done

Can I ask if you don’t mind what your symptoms were as mine are constant palpitations my heart rate going up to 220 then down to 34 all in the space of minutes

And feeling like I have run a marathon at times without going anywhere

Is this like yours at all and how do you feel now

Thank you William

I had paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, but never as fast as yours gets. It is a horrible feeling isn't it and hard to explain to anyone who hasn't suffered from it. I took bisoprolol which kept it manageable but I did not like the side effects. which makes you feel slowed down. I am only 10days or so from the ablation but have stopped the bisoprolol. I am tired but I think the general anaesthetic accounts for some of that. I hope you get good advice soon as I know how awful it is waiting.
