I have severe Dilated Cardiomyopathy and two days ago I was diagnosed with Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. I have been feeling worse in myself day by day, the lower abdominal/back pain and lethargy are the worst of all the symptoms and I am concerned what affect this will be having on me with regards to the heart failure? Will it be adding extra pressure on the heart? Should I make an appointment to see my cardiologist? I feel rotten and am unsure what to do?

I am sorry to hear you have 2 conditions to contend with. Sometimes consultants have a bit of tunnel vision when more than one illness is concerned and concentrate on their own area of expertise. If you feel concerned and worried it would be good to talk to your GP about how you are feeling and see whether he/she can suggest help with your discomfort.

It would be very strange if you weren't worried by this situation but there are ways of helping you cope with how you are feeling and may be meds to control your symptoms better.
