Hi,
I’m searching for information to confirm exactly what’s meant by the statement “optimal heart failure treatment”. Is this a description for on-going therapy or does it refer to a fixed procedure?.
Thanks

Good Question
Just looked through some of my past notes from Cardiologist to Heart Failure Nurse. When the Cardiologist said to up my dose of Bisoprolol he just refers to increasing dose to Maximum and it is the same for Entresto, increase dose to Maximum never uses the word Optimal.
In my head I can see the difference between Maximum and Optimal but difficult to put it into words, Like Maximum may not be Optimal !!! and Optimal may not be Maximum Help lol
Hi Thatwasunexpected,
Thanks for your reply, I’d assumed that this was the case; I just needed to be sure that I was correct.
The issue which caused me to inquire was that I’d asked my GP to complete a treatment request questionnaire by ticking some inclusion/exclusion criteria boxes but he’s not being very helpful.
