I'm so glad that I ignored my UTI for two weeks (because I didn't want to mess with my INR) and ended up with a kidney infection/stone that nearly sent me back to hospital - said noone ever. I know I was stupid to put my recovery in jeopardy but after a weeks worth of hallucinations (post op), you don't know what is real anymore.

My dear father (rest his soul) used to use this expression all the time. I thought it fitting, considering.
My Mum's two "go to" phrases in later years which both meant she was going to totally ignore me were " so you say" and "that's true" and the fall back position "to think it's come to this" - stroppy daughter trying to tell her how to proceed!!!
