With the right technology this seems like a simple and non invasive method of early screening for Type 2 diabetes. It could be done by your optometrist at a routine eye exam.

Definitely, as opticians tend to detect it by spotting diabetic retinopathy which is rather too late as other damage may have occurred elsewhere in the body.

Hi, interesting facts. When l was in hospital for three months half the patients having stents had been for a eye test and their heart problem was detected because of that. Most of them had no symptoms and were very lucky because it saved their lives.!!!
