I’d get back to the GP. My original pain was right there and it was severe Angina.

Hi

6 months down the line from a similar experience to yourself I am also still struggling with back pain, at my last cardiology appointment i was told to temporarily stop taking my statin medication (atrovastatin) to see if this elevates the pain

Five years ago I only had a single incidence of chest pain before discovering I needed 4 stents. For the 4 months afterwards there were severe pains in chest and back, particularly shoulder blades. Confirmation tests showed no heart problems but it was eventually found that I was not tolerating bisoprolol at the dose initially prescribed by the Cardiologist. I've since been pain free once the dose was reduced by 75%.

My GP co-ordinated my recovery but had to 'battle' with the Cardiologist who was reluctant to reduce the amount.

As you quickly realise from this forum, everyone is different in how their body reacts to its 'illness' and treatment. I'd suggest working with your GP to find a solution that works for YOU.

Wishing you well.
