If you are not having any luck with GP, then go to A&E. If you go now it should be relatively quiet too!

I think you may need referral to a Specialist Wound/Tissue Viability Nurse. They have the experience and some special dressings that can draw out infection. Besides A&E you could go to a Minor Injuries Unit or Urgent Care Unit. Good luck!

Wouldn't you call the surgeon about the leg? They did the work?

Have they taken a culture of the drainage?

It's more usual to see the GP/nurse.

Oh ok

Here the surgeon would want to know because a post op infection effects the statistics for the doctor

My brother had bypass and valve in September and was told to call surgery for any incision issues. Do not let anyone else touch it.

But that's here.

Thank you for letting me know.

I would think getting an appt to see the surgeon/consultant would take too long if urgent attention is needed.

Yes that's understandable

We do it a little different here.

Most surgeons want to watch their work then they sign off once all is healed up etc.

Not what you're looking for?
