My husband had successful cardioversion on Tuesday but weight went up by 4lb by Thursday morning we are guessing it’s to do with the extra hours lying on a bed and no activity that day, not much the next. Extra Furosemide yesterday has shifted 2lb and doing the same today. Any other tips on keeping fluid at bay without extra furosemide please ?

I hope someone replies. I would love an answer to your question. It's such a pain to have to take extra furusemide when you know what it can do to your body. Here's hoping!

Post my bypass I developed an electrolyte imbalance and gained 9kg of fluid! Besides furosemide I needed additional medication to balance things. Has he had a U&Es (urea and electrolytes) blood test?

No as doesn’t have fluid problem since furosemide generally keeps it under control. Extra tablet yesterday shifted half so hoping for same today
