One Of My Best Friends

Valentines Day will always be tinged with sadness for me. Six years ago one of my best friends of over 40 years collapsed on the 12th February. He was made comfortable but little seemed to be done to find the cause for a few days and on Valentines morning he was diagnosed with septicaemia. A few hours later he died. The cause of death was put down as a heart attack. The same cause of death was also given for another (not so close) friend who died of MRSA a few years earlier. The problem is I now no longer believe statistics of causes of death. Progress has been made on recognising septicaemia but one wonders how much is covered up by giving cause of death as "heart attack".

Apologies somewhat off topic but something I had to get off my chest!.

Well honey that is what we are all here for, we're here to listen.

I am sorry the 14th of Feb brings back such sad memories for you.

I am sending hugs of comfort to you, with my very best wishes that you feel this comfort soon. Jo 😊 xx
