i have angina and rhumatoid arthritis i take 5 mg predisilobe the latter but ive read that the pred causes cardio vascular disease cvd. So now im wondering if ivstop the pred i will lose the angina which i use a nitrate spray for. After symptoms of angina i often pass wind i sometimes feel a bit belchy my herbalist wonders since angina has not been confirmed that i may have Hietas. I dont get pain down my arm back etc just chest although as i walk my legs buttocks and back gets achy and i get tired easily and can only walk a few min without wanting to sit. Some days im much better and feel lighter has anyone experienced any of my symptoms please.

Medications can be a real balancing act sometimes, and this means we have to weigh up the risk of one medication vs. its benefits and make a decision. Some medications do increase your risk of heart disease and cardiovascular events, but wouldn't be prescribed if it was thought to be a dangerously high risk.

If you're not sure about your angina diagnosis being accurate you can speak to your GP about this and ask what tests might be useful to help confirm a diagnosis if this is needed.
